Harmoniemusik North America provides a web venue to explore chamber music from the late 18th and early 19th centuries written for wind instruments. This informal "organization" offers opportunities for individual musicians, ensembles, researchers, and collectors to examine this yet-to-be-fully explored historical repertoire scored for 6-12 wind instruments.
The Harmoniemusik North America website is not an open forum. Material is refereed and presented to the public for educational purposes and with the intent of expanding awareness and understanding of this historical repertoire. We encourage performance on period instruments; however, we also support the efforts of those musicians who wish to experience harmoniemusik on modern winds.
